The link between smell and taste is very well known. On the other hand, the sense of taste is a synthesis of smell, taste and aroma. In fact, a first idea of \u200b\u200ba food we do have the smell, then put in our mouths and we perceive flavor, then I feel the feeling back and smell, which is nothing more than the aroma. Do not forget that the taste is very poor, because our receptors located on the tongue can perceive only five sensations: salty, sweet, sour, bitter and umami (the taste of monosodium glutamate). Have you ever tried to eat something with my nose plugged? Or look at when you are cool: you tend to say not to hear the flavors. In fact, the flavors continue to hear, but do not perceive the aromas. If we put a candy in my mouth with my nose plugged certainly understand that it is sweet, while only opening the nose we can see if it is of a sweet orange or strawberry.
Reflecting on these simple considerations on the representation and "taste" of a perfume, with his friend Ermano Peak the blog "The Gardenia eyelet ," we thought it would be interesting to suggest an afternoon of wine tasting in which discover all the perfumes and their representation culinary arts.
